We stayed with a monk in Myanmar.
His name is Uvi Seita.
He gets up in the morning at 4 o’clock to pray, then goes down to the town at 6 o’clock in his bare feet to receive handouts from the people.
He then shares the food that he received with his disciples and us. He waits till the afternoon to eat.
I didn’t know what to do when I faced his great kindness but just felt that I was a small powerless human.
I decided to make miso soup to him. However he did not eat. He in stead gave it to his friends.
